What’s an NPC and Why are some People triggered by This Word ?!
NPC stems from the Video Gaming World and means Non Player Character so every figurine in a video game that isn’t controlled by a player and merely serves a supporting role e.g. in an RPG ( role playing game ) there are merchant NPCs to sell digital Items to you like a Sword or Shield or a Smith-NPC to repair your Equipment after battle.
They have a fixed role and cannot go off script because they are literally just digital figurines put in a Game to make the Game look alive or Help the Players on their Adventure.
The Player Character ( Real Person ) often interacts with these NPCs to get Quests or necessary goods to play the Game.
While NPCs have an important role; especially in mmo(rpgs) they of course still only serve their purpose and of course won’t ever go on an Adventure like a real Person / An actual Player… except if you would maybe program an A.I. script so they appear more like real People to make the World feel more alive and thus improve the feeling of immersion.
So why would anyone be offended by this term if it is just some video game stuff; just about a digital World like Super Mario or World of Warcraft or Call of Duty or Something like that ?
Well some People abuse the term to slander People and to put it simple: Get to them
Why not call them names ? e.g. Ahole or stupid or something ?
They obviously want to do the most damage and the pow / sting coming with the use of this Word is just way greater if directed at most People
but Why ?!
Why would someone care about NPCs and what they do and apply it to themselves ?
It’s because they feel the stark similarity between them and the digital Non Player Character that merely serve a support role and to express it with simpler wording: It reminds them that they are loser sheep without a real Life and nothing to go for and their very bleak future without any meaning, purpose or goal.
-> It’s a reflection of themselves and they don’t like to be reminded that they are no-life losers; simple as that
Some go so far as to kill the other party that have called them that trigger word because it just hurts them so deeply…
The same happens if you are a good, succesful, bright, happy Person who is doing nothing wrong but in a way forming a stark contrast reminding them of what They are: the opposit of all that and no1 wants to be reminded that they are a smelly turd ( kids Lang )
They often resort to reverse-gaslighting ( convincing themselves that everything is the other way around ) and gaslighting and even the most evil form of all that Shit: group gaslighting
so:
One should not fall for it and distance themselves from these NPC loser People bc they WILL burn your Home down if they get the chance bc they are evil loser turds…
…and this is sadly what they do
and:
Yes they should rather burn themselves alive but we all no that won’t happen :/
